WHO IS YOUR FAMILY & WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

The Benjamins- Bobby (chef hubs), Copeland Pearl (spirited 3 year old), Phifer Grace (happy baby)

DO YOU HAVE A SIGNATURE BIBLE VERSE?

I have the same life verse to both my girls, so I would say it's my favorite. "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." -Ephesians 2:10

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FLOWER?

Sunflower & I have them tattooed on my arm ;)

WHAT ENCOURAGES YOU PERSONALLY?

The Holy Spirit speaking to me through stillness, worship or my dear friends that speak truth in my life. Oh, and a cup of coffee ;)

SHARE SOME OF THE JOURNEY THAT LED TO THIS CURRENT SEASON OF LIFE.

I have led a life of many mistakes... selfishness, addiction, too many to list. Becoming a mother changed me. I wanted to be better for my daughter. I wanted to raise an Esther & I knew I had to be the example I wanted my daughter to see. I decided church on Sunday was not enough. I began women's studies, read many books, took walks with God and joined a small group. The change and joy I have found over these past 3 years has made me thirsty for more, more Jesus!

WHAT IN LIFE KEEPS YOU BUSY? DO YOU EVER STRUGGLE WITH BEING TOO BUSY?

My husband is a chef and owns Butchertown Grocery & Lola. He works ALL THE TIME. So, I stay busy with my girls with basically no breaks. Sometimes I get too much on our calendars and even though it's good stuff, it's just too much. Play dates, dance, bible study, swimming... all of a sudden I have no time for quiet and listening to God. The world gets too loud.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU PAUSE AND RELAX?

I love a lush bath bomb and a closed bathroom door lol! It's rare. Actually, last week we were forced to pause when my girls and I got sick for 10 days. I actually thanked God and liked the pause that this sickness caused for our life. We were just go go go and I needed to slow down and refocus on him. Now, I can get back to life with a renewed spirit! I read and prayed for hours a day and was mostly shut out from the hustle and bustle of the world. I really needed it.

IF YOU HAD ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD BE ON YOUR “TO-DO” LIST

I'm going to assume that I have all the time and money ;) Selfishly, I would start with a two-week family vacation. We need it! Once refreshed, I would want to do some traveling with missions work, adopt a new member of the family, buy a home in the country and open a restaurant on the property. I would homeschool and let my children run around naked in the mud and be little. I want a garden, chickens, and a giant sunflower field. I would finish reading the Bible and read it again and again. I would read a new book every week. I would paint. I would have tea parties and catch lightening bugs and make s'mores. I would play in a creek and take naps in a hammock. I would bake giant chocolatey cakes and make homemade ice cream. I would sit with my husband and truly enjoy each other without the stress of everything that needs to be done. This all sounds so amazing. And guess what... Heaven will be better than even this! I can't wait!
