WHAT ENCOURAGES YOU PERSONALLY?

Family; Knowing God has given me the opportunity to have my own family - a wonderful, supportive husband and sweet, loving daughters; I count my blessings every day.

SHARE SOME OF THE JOURNEY THAT LED TO THIS CURRENT SEASON OF LIFE.

I am a refugee from Vietnam. My family and I were sponsored by members of a Lutheran church to Lansing, MI in 1975. Both my parents have passed away and are buried in Orlando, FL. Dad never finished HS because he joined the army to fight against the communist. My mom was uneducated and raised 10 children. They've always instilled in us that America is an amazing country - a land of opportunities, and for that, we are to be grateful. My siblings and I did just that - half of us became healthcare professionals, while the other became engineers and have their own businesses. If it weren't for the compassion of Christians who sponsored us, we would not have been able to accomplish anything.

A year and a half ago, with Todd's support, I had an opportunity to take a break from Corporate to help run I.C. IT (In Christ I Trust), a ministry we started with a goal of ministering to underprivileged children and their families. It was something our family could do together, serve God by loving on others, to give back to this wonderful country, and to pay if forward.

WHAT IN LIFE KEEPS YOU BUSY? DO YOU EVER STRUGGLE WITH BEING TOO BUSY?

Myself. I keep myself busy - too busy at times by not being able to say no to others, and sometimes forgetting to prioritize what's important.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU PAUSE AND RELAX?

I look up at the sky and the horizon to see God's beautiful creation, take a deep breath and pray. Then I schedule a massage or go exercise. :-)

IF YOU HAD ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD BE ON YOUR “TO-DO” LIST?

So many things that I'd want to do, but one of the most important thing in my heart - Travel with Todd and our girls throughout America and 3rd-world countries to help the impoverished. Doing this would hit all the important aspects to me - spend time with family, serve together, travel and experience what God has given us.
